Angelina Jolie as Marilyn Monroe? George Clooney as Sinatra?

Comingsoon found a nice little catch in an article from The Times, that says production on a novel titled The Life and Opinions of Maf the Dog, and of His Friend Marilyn Monroe, which is set to be released this December, is filming soon, with George Clooney playing Frank Sinatra and Angelina Jolie to star as Marilyn Monroe.   No director has been attached as of now.

Now I can totally see Clooney pulling off Sinatra as he has the chops to make it his own, but Angelina Jolie as Marilyn Monroe has me scratching my head.  I don’t know, it just feels really off.  What do you folks think?  Does Angelina have what it takes to play Monroe?  Who would be a better fit?
