Chloe Moretz is Emily the StrangeMovie News — By ecksmanfan on September 26, 2010 4:23 am
It seems that if there is a dark, violent or or odd character for a teen girl to play, Chloe Moretz is the go-to girl. With her role in Kick-Ass still stuck in our minds and her upcoming part in the soon to be released Let Me In, it is fairly evident she is not afraid to starp on the big girl panties and take the parts that many other her age would pass on. Now, Deadline is reporting that Moretz has been signed on to play the leading role in the film adaptation of Emily The Strange.
Universal Pictures has acquired the rights to the Dark Horse Comics, which was created by Rob Reger and his company Cosmic Debris in 1993. Not only is the property known for the graphic novel, but can been seen on a line of apparel as well.
Moretz is currently filming Hugo Cabret with Martin Scorecese and is hoping to reprise her role of Hit Girl in the potential sequel to Matthew Vaughn’s Kick-Ass.
