There has been a lot of talk lately about why Marvel and Paramount Pictures have not released a full-length movie trailer for Captain America: The First Avenger; to date, the studio has only released 20 – 40 second long TV spots.  Well, our suspicions can be partially put to rest as it was revealed today that certain scenes have had to be re-shot, suggesting that, frankly, the footage the studio has to work with so far is not good enough to make a decent trailer.

Let me be clear, I have no doubt that Captain America will be an awesome full (at least for hardcore action fanatics), but the way that movie studios have been quickly churning out comic book movies lately, it is safe to be a little suspicious that the focus here may have been more on getting a film to theaters quickly, rather than on producing a quality, one-of-a-kind film.  That being said, I’m still hopeful.

Captain America: The First Avenger stars Chris Evans in the title role, Tommy Lee Jones, Sebastian Stan, Hugo Weaving, Hayley Atwell, and Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury.  Check out yet another TV spot below.
